Monkey Cocktail to Disband

The end of 2007 will also bring the end of Monkey Cocktail. Personal responsibilities, obligations, commitments and opportunities will conspire to make continuing the band an unattractive proposition. The boys prefer to end with this incarnation of the band and finish out the year together. The band is working on putting together what will be the final dates for Monkey Cocktail, and we hope that you will join us in celebrating what has been a truly wonderful 10+ years with all of you.

There is no internal strife that has led to this decision, it is simply life interfering with, what for us has been, a great and meaningful time. The music that we have made together and played together, and the times that we have shared together and with all of you have created what will be a lifetime of fond memories. The boys are friends and will remain friends, and there is a great deal of mutual respect amongst the members of the band. All of the guys in the band plan to continue actively playing and it is hoped that the boys will have an opportunity to play together again one day.

It is our sincere hope that during these last several months together that we will see you at one of these last few shows so that we might thank you in person for all of your love and support and for choosing to share some of your nights with us. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to play for you and to have met so many wonderful people along the way. If you have not seen the band for a while, or maybe you have never seen the band at all, we hope that you might make it a point to share at least one last evening at one of these last few months of shows with us. Thank you all so very, very much.
